Amplitude’s mission couldn’t be simpler—we help people build better products and digital experiences. That’s why we built the broadest and deepest digital analytics platform on the market. Teams around the world use it to gain a deeper understanding of user behaviors and build great digital experiences that deliver the outcomes they want. That could be improving user onboarding, increasing feature adoption, optimizing conversion, or personalizing experiences.

However, customers have often asked if we could go further. They rely on Amplitude to get insights about their users, but they also want our help encouraging the user behaviors they want. They’ve asked for guides to help with onboarding, ways to share announcements with their users directly in the app, and the ability to capture user feedback in real time.

We started to explore how we could offer these capabilities to our customers, but we wanted to do it in a way that was better than the status quo. In this AI-powered world, couldn’t these user assistance technologies actually help customers instead of annoy them? Couldn’t they be dynamic based on the task at hand rather than generic pop-ups?

That’s when we met the Command AI team. They’re solving this exact problem in a new way—powered by AI.

Command AI provides intuitive, AI-powered user assistance to make complex software easier to adopt and navigate. It offers in-product nudges and tours, onboarding guides, and surveys. Those are just a few examples, and Amplitude expects to release an integrated experience early next year. Early next year. Amplitude plans to release an integrated platform experience that will include Command AI’s cutting-edge capabilities, such as onboarding checklists, guides, product tours, announcements, and surveys.

What will happen to Command AI’s customers?

We will continue to serve Command AI’s existing customers until our platforms are integrated. At that point, we will help Command AI’s customers move over to Amplitude.

What will happen to Command AI’s team?

Command AI’s co-founders, James Evans and Vinay Ayyala, have built a talented and innovative team. They will join Amplitude, along with the majority of Command AI’s team.
