Introducing Amplitude AI Agents

For 13 years, Amplitude has been the go-to platform for teams building better products—helping them understand what users are doing, what’s working, and what’s not.

But getting to these insights has largely been a manual and time-consuming process. Teams have to pull data, interpret it, generate ideas, run tests, learn, and iterate. It takes a lot of expertise, focus, and time to do right. Product, growth, and marketing teams have been traditionally relegated to a "single-track" job due to these limitations. You often test one hypothesis at a time, wait for results, then move to the next idea. It's methodical and slow, often bottlenecked by the bandwidth, context, and the speed at which your teams can operate.

Today, we’re flipping the script on all of this–with the introduction of Amplitude AI Agents. Amplitude AI Agents rewire Amplitude from a tool you use to a team of Agents you lead. They help you tackle problems (even when you are not in the office)—investigating anomalies, generating hypotheses, designing experiments, and measuring impact—faster and more intelligently than ever before.

This is the real breakthrough with AI Agents. Instead of acting on a vague alert like “conversion is down,” you now have a system that thinks like a proactive teammate—one that not only spots issues but digs into the why, proposes next steps, and runs experiments. While you focus on strategic priorities, your Agents are working in the background, testing multiple hypotheses, analyzing impact, and surfacing the highest-leverage insights. This always-on, multi-track approach marks a turning point for product development, transforming what was once a slow, linear process into a scalable, continuous loop of discovery and action. Now your team can spend more time doing what matters most: building, shipping, and learning faster.

How Amplitude AI Agents work

Creating an AI Agent starts with something simple: a goal. Think of the things you already use Amplitude for today—improving website conversion, boosting feature adoption, or making onboarding smoother. That goal becomes the objective your Agent is built around.

Once it’s set up and running, the Agent pulls in data from across your account in Amplitude—behavioral data, session replays, experiments, as well as guides and surveys—and works continuously toward its goal. It’s not just spotting issues; it’s figuring out why they’re happening and suggesting what to do next. Agents draw from all your unique company data and can apply patterns we’ve seen work across thousands of teams.

Think of an Agent’s work in two phases: insights and actions. Insights are observations about your data; actions are suggested next steps based on those insights. For example, Agents can access “tools” to run root cause analysis and watch session replays to collect insights. They can also take action by injecting custom HTML, CSS, Javascript to configure a web experiment or deploy a targeted in-product guide for a specific cohort based on those insights. It's the same workflow a skilled team member would follow, just faster and at scale.

With Agents, you’re always in control. Agents won’t make customer-facing changes without your OK. As they prove themselves, you can choose to give them more autonomy, with clear guardrails and limits based on what you’re comfortable with.

Agents designed for every use case

Amplitude AI Agents aren't one-size-fits-all solutions. They're specialized experts built to tackle specific business challenges across every part of your digital experience. Each Agent comes preconfigured with industry best practices and optimization patterns drawn from our work with thousands of leading companies. Just choose your objective, and your Agent gets to work. Here are a few examples built for the most common challenges teams face—with many more on the way.

Website conversion

A conversion Agent constantly monitors your website's performance metrics to catch issues before they impact your business. When it detects a conversion drop, it immediately springs into action—analyzing user sessions to pinpoint exactly where and why users are abandoning your funnel. The Agent then develops data-backed hypotheses about what's causing the friction, designs targeted A/B tests to validate potential solutions, and requests your permission to run experiments.

Once a test reaches statistical significance, the Agent presents clear results and recommendations, awaiting your approval before implementing the winning variant. This closed-loop system ensures your conversion rates consistently improve without requiring constant manual analysis and intervention from your team.

Onboarding

An onboarding Agent analyzes how new users navigate your initial product experience. It identifies precise moments where users hesitate or abandon the onboarding process, pinpointing problems that might otherwise remain hidden. Based on these insights, the Agent can automatically create and deploy targeted in-app guides customized for user segments that are struggling with particular steps. Think of it as a product-led growth consultant parachuted in to optimize your funnel.

The Agent can also position micro-surveys at key moments to gather qualitative feedback directly from users about their experience. This creates a powerful closed feedback loop where user behavior data and direct feedback inform continual refinements to both the guides and the overall onboarding flow.

Feature adoption

A feature adoption Agent breaks down how different groups are engaging with your latest features. It finds patterns in the behavior—who’s finding value, who’s dropping off—and identifies friction points you might not spot in aggregate dashboards.

Based on this context, your Agent can then recommend targeted next steps. It might suggest a guide or propose to test a feature variant. You get real visibility into what's working and where adoption needs a boost.

Monetization

A monetization Agent looks for signs that a user is ready to upgrade, purchase, or try a premium feature. When it sees those signals—based on behavior, timing, and past patterns—it suggests the right nudge: a message, an offer, or a reminder that fits the moment.

The Agent can take advantage of guardrails built into our guides and surveys to ensure it’s not flooding users, but instead delivering the right message at the right time.
